Since , taking over the leadership of UMNO , Dato ' Onn , Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al -Haj has established cooperation with the Alliance party in 1952 . Since the Alliance became the dominant body that fight until the Malaysian gained freedom. After that , when Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al -Haj, read the declaration of Independence on the morning of August 31, 1957 which is now celebrated annually as National Day - Day celebrating independence .
Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al -Haj prove his statesmanship when the Alliance produced along with MCA and later joined by the MIC.
