THE INDEPENDENT FATHER CONTRIBUTION

Tunku Abdul Rahman 

     Few would know how the Tunku felt about Malaysia in his last years. The Malaysia of today might have grown beyond the vision of Bapa Malaysia but its heart is, hopefully, still defined by his beliefs and concerns. Anyone who has ever met the Tunku will be a witness that he cared for the people of this country, whatever their status, race or religion are different .It is because he is our Prime Minister that sacrifices a lot of thing in order to get Malaysia free. One of his contribution is he succefully unite and had created a multi-racial polity that was divided before this. Now, for the first time in the history of Malaysia, the races were united in their determination to achieve Merdeka .That unity was underlined by the forging of an alliance between Umno and MCA .Also, the way his effort to give freedom to Malaysia also is a huge contribution from him .It is because through his effort the Malaysia now can leave peacefully 
Malaysia  today is in massive development

TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN GET MALAYSIAN FREE.

  On January 13, 1956 , Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al -Haj lead the delegation to having  negotiations that accompanied by 4 people of the Malay Rulers and 4 people from the Alliance representatives at Lancaster House, and  February 8, 1956 , he successfully get Malaysia free  . During the date of August 31, 1957 , Tunku Abdul Rahman shouted the word , Merdeka ! Merdeka ! At Stadium Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur as a sign that Malaysia’s free from being colonize.

After Malaysia get freedom, he as the first Prime Minister of Malaya,  had to respond swiftly to create new policies . Tunku Abdul Rahman start to construct Malaysian development projects, which is the building of the National Mosque , the National Stadium , Parliament House , National Museum and National Monument Internationally in order to make Malaysian as a country that not leave behind after get the freedom. Soon after that,  Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, died on December 6, 1990 , aged eighty seven at the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital and was buried at the Tomb of the Royal Langgar, Alor Setar.

 In 1949 , Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al -Haj, is hold a position the  chairman of the Kedah Umno . After that ,when Dato ' Onn bin Jaafar resigned as Umno President , Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al -Haj, has been selected to fill the vacancy on August 26, 1951 . Since , taking over the leadership of UMNO , Dato ' Onn , Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al -Haj has established cooperation with the Alliance party in 1952 . Since the Alliance became the dominant body that fight until the Malaysian gained freedom. After that , when Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al -Haj, read the declaration of Independence on the morning of August 31, 1957 which is now celebrated annually as National Day - Day celebrating independence .

       Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al -Haj prove his statesmanship when the Alliance produced along with MCA and later joined by the MIC. Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al -Haj asserts independence will only be achieved through the unity and cooperation between the Malays, Chinese and Indians . Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al -Haj integrity, can be perceive through the  result of the negotiations that  highlighted when  Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al -Haj, with the British led to the first election on August 31, 1955 and the Alliance Party won 51 of the 52 seats contested. From  that , Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al -Haj was appointed as the Chief Minister Of Malaysia . Among his important effort is an effort to save the country from the threat of communism during Daurat and give forgiveness offer if the terrorists surrender.

BEGINNING JOURNEY IN POLITIC WORLD .

Upon his return in 1931 , Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj entered the Kedah Public Service and served as District Officer, Field Apply. Kuala  Nerang, Langkawi Island and Kulim. In colonial Malaya, almost all the District Officers were British. Abdul Rahman who was the only Malay District Officer at that time had the people’s interest at heart. This made him cross swords with the British Administration many times.

Sometime later, he back to England to complete his law studies at the Inner Temple but was forced to stop in 1938. At the eruption of World War II, he returned to Malaya. During the Japanese Occupation of Kedah, the Tunku was responsible for saving many lives, both Malay and Chinese. He being of royal blood was highly revered by the Japanese and could not be touched by them, and he used this to his advantage. Many people from Kulim today depend their lives to the Tunku. He continues his studies at the Inner Temple in 1947. And in 1949, And in 1949, he failed for the Bar. During this period, Abdul Rahman met Abdul Razak Hussein (later known as Datuk and Tun). He was elected president of the Malay Society of Great Britain, and Abdul Razak, who was twenty-six, was his secretary.

FEB 8, A TRUE LEADER BORN.

   Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, was born in Kedah, an old Malay state. He was born on Feb 8, 1903 in Istana Pelamin, Alor Star ,Kedah. Thus, Abdul Rahman was the seventh son from twentieth child of Sultan Abdul Hamid Shah .

   Abdul Rahman receive  his early  education in 1909 at a Malay Primary School, Jalan Baharu, in Alor Star and was later transferred to the Government English School, now the Sultan Abdul Hamid College, Alor Star, where he studied during the day and read the Qur’an in the afternoon . Two years later in 1911, when he was eight, he was sent to study at Debsirin School in Bangkok along with his three brothers. In 1915, he returned and continued his studies at Penang Free School.

 In 1918, Abdul Rahman pursues his studies at St Catharine’s College in the University of Cambridge, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1925. He was the first student from Kedah to study in the United Kingdom under the funding of the Kedah State Government.

TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN ? WHO HE IS?

I’m sure all of you must know who is he .When we call his name everybody will proud on him. He is our former Prime Minister that is Tunku Abdul Rahman .He is a person who make our country freedom from the colonize. Thus, because of him, we can feel the mean behind the freedom and peace. He is the pioneer of the freedom and people call him as a”Father of Independent" because of his contribution to Malaysia.
